No refund for mysterious cancellation

Traveling & Tourism

In April I booked a hotel on hotelplanner.com for two nights at the Days Inn in Albany, NY. It cost me $172.56, I had booked it for November 11th through the 13th. On the night of the 10th, I went to the website to double confirm the room, well about 5 minutes later I noticed that the room was cancelled! So, I called numerous times the following day and wanted to get answers, no deals, I asked for my money back because I never cancelled the room, I got a snobbish response from the customer service rep. She told me that she could not refund my money because it was a no refund policy, and since i supposedly cancelled the room iwas to get nothing... Im sorry but im not just gonna spend 172.56 on a hotel to cancel it!!! I asked her to speak with her supervisor and she told me that she doesnt talk to her supervisor and that shes not even in the same building. Think about it if something major happened and i couldnt make it to albany I still wouldnt have gotten my money back. So I had my husband call, she told him that I cancelled the room and the only thing she could do is have us book a room again and then refund us for that room and I would still be out 172.56... Never again will I use them!!! The CSR was rude and very snobbish, not to mention that fact that she wouldnt let us speak to her superior!!!
