No place for Pets ruined honeymoon

I was getting married soon and flying down to see my fiance. We had made arragenments with American Airlines 5 months in advance to fly my 2 cats down with me prior to our wedding. Luckly a few days prior to my flight I called American airlines to get my fligt information, and the customer service lady was like oops. I inquiried as to the oops and she stated that there was a pet embargo in effect prior to my scheduled flight, which happened to be 6 days prior to my flight. During the reservation process it was never mentioned that there was even the possability of a pet embrago.

If I had showed up at the airport as scheduled they would have turned me away, I would then have to return to my home get the cats settled arrange for them to be taken care of for 10 days, and in turn missed my flight. I did not receive a phone call or any notifcation from the airlines. I wasn't offered any compensation.

If we had been told about the pet embrago my finace could have flown the pets with him, he flew up to see me several times and could have transported them. The end result of the airlines irresponsability we had to take our cats in the rent a truck we used on our honeymoon. We had a lovely sightseening route planned via teh Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone National Prk, and etc. We had to pay extra to keep our cats in hotels, cancel previous hotel reservations that were made due to lack of accepting pets, we could not do allot of the sightseeing that we wanted to because of the pets.

Basicly our planned honeymoon was not anything that we had planned because of American Airlines failing to tell us one little thing. They didn't bother to call or say anything at all.
