To all of my wonderful people, I have a story to share. I recently reserved a round trip flight with United Airlines to attend my friends wedding this past weekend.in the attempt to save some money, I went with an extremely early flight out of Nantucket (5:50am). I failed to arrive early enough to have the attendants print my ticket at the desk so I could go through the security check... And missed my flight. Okay, my own fault. I proceeded to find another flight to get me to my destination (RDU) in time. It was a one way ticket with US Airways. It worked out. Good. Came back to RDU this morning to catch the return portion of my round trip flight I purchased with United Airlines. Only to find out they had canceled my entire trip! This surprised me, as I was not notified at all about this penalty by missing one flight. I asked if there was any way that I could be put on standby or put on the next available flight if space was not available. I was told that there was NOTHING they could do to help me, and that I needed to purchase another ticket... Regardless of the fact that I paid for a round trip that I am not going to be able to use AT ALL. OR the fact that I have frequently used United Airlines to fly in the past. They were completely unwilling to help at all... No credit with them, NADA! I was quite frustrated at this point, breathing deeply & trying to stay calm, I informed the employees at the counter my disappointment in customer service. I let them know this experience will prevent me from ever flying with United Airlines again and I walked away in search of a more reasonable Airline... Which I found. I made my way to Jet Blue, who had a few flights going into Boston. The staff at the Jet Blue counter were nothing less than amazing and eager to help! What a difference! They gave me a few options on flights to Boston/Nantucket and did the best they could to ensure I was going to make it back with out breaking the bank. Why am I writing so much and in detail? I believe in the power of word of mouth. I want everyone that I know and care about to hear this story, both of the horrible service from United Airlines and the fantastic service from Jet Blue. I encourage you all to share this story with as many of your friends as possible. It seems like very poor business to be so stiff to customers, just to make a few extra bucks?

To Jet Blue: your 7am ticket desk crew at RDU on Monday June 24th turned my day around for the better! There were 3 ladies that assisted me, I remember one of their names, Lateefa. The other lady was a petit blonde with braces. She made sure I was going to be taken care of and was compassionate about my story. These ladies deserve credit! The flight crew was also spectacular. All around great experience from Jet Blue.
