No confirmation for booking - rude staff

I have booked a hotel in Zürich today. After I submitted my credit card information and pressed the submit button I got redirected to the homepage. After that I did not receive a confirmation email. I called the US number and got the most unfriendly woman that told me to wait 24 hours. Well I am booking a hotel for next week so time is literally money. Plus I have never experienced that you do not get a confirmation right away. I asked the woman to check at least if they received the data and she got annoyed with me and told me again to wait 24 hours. I have never experienced something like this before! To make matters worse I did get an email from otel.com telling me that I now have an account that I never wanted ann that I requested a password which I never did.
