Defective power rods

I recently was injured when a 100lb power rod[crossbow}snapped in half and hit me in my face causing a 3/4 inch laceration{and permanent scar]to the bridge of my nose along with a large hemotoma to my forehead.
The 200lb upgrade for the crossbow is poorly designed and very dangerous. I was curious if anyone else has had injuries resulting from a defective part of the crossbow machine or the 200lb upgrade rods. If so, please post a message.
