Postal Express Service Insurance Fraud Ripoff at UPS everybody disowns the damage

I took a package filled with antique china items to the UPS Center called Postal Express of Greenwich. Explained to the clerk exactly what was in the carton and asked if the container was suitable. She looked at the wrapping inside (double wrapped everything in large bubble wrap and taped) proclaimed it was OK. Taped the package shut put "fragile" stickers on every side and took the money for $1500 in insurance.

The items arrived at my daughter's and many of the items were shattered. The packaging was still all intact, but items inside were in shards! Looked to us like they THREW it off the truck.

Filed a claim for the insurance; they came, took the carton and the broken pieces which my daughter had unwrapped and then lightly rewrapped. She removed all the undamaged pieces (of course).

Month later, I went into Postal Express to see what had become of the claim. The manager came out of the back room with my package, the broken pieces and a letter from "Crawford & Company" which stated that my package had "no edge protection, product against carton wall"... How in the world could they possible KNOW where the products were???

Complained to the Postal Express..."not my fault - we didn't pack it!", Complained to the Crawford Insurance Co. "you have to take that up with Postal Express as they are the insured party"... Took it up with UPS. "not us, you gotta speak to the insurance company"..

BEWARE! UPS, Crawford, Postal Express are all DISHONEST! Take your business elsewhere!
