Makes big promises in order to make customers switch without keeping them Phoenix

In 11/03 we switched from Q-West to AT&T after "Tangela" offered us a $ 10 credit for the next 12 months.

Tangela gave us an order number and told us exactly how much we would pay for local service every month. Then we received an "Account Summary" which said "$ 10 bill credit for 12 months In Process" and "You will see a $ 10 credit on your bill every month for the first 12 months beginning with your first full monthly billing cycle." When the actual bill did not reflect this credit, we called them up and nobody was able to give us any information.

The first rep said that there was nothing in the computer about this credit and that he did not know what I ment with the "Account Summary" we received. The second rep. Said that this was impossible that someone had offered us a $ 10 credit for the next month and that he was not able to pull up that order number Tangela had given to us.

So I called the same number I had dialed when signing up with AT&T and asked for that same extention 1 888 288-7523 ext. 49815 and the same Tangela answered. When I told asked her about the $ 10 credit she had promised us she said: "It must have been another Tangela, I just started working here" (What a coincidence...)

I spent the next hour talking to different reps (nobody knew anything about this credit) and asked about 20 times for a manager or supervisor until finally I was transferred to a supervisors voicemail. I left a message which was not returned. What we understand is that AT&Ts reps promise everything in order to make people switch their phone company, once they have done it, they don't see any necessity to keep their promises.
