Lie, Cheat, Steal, and Won't Respond

I called to make an appointment, and asked if they accepted our insurance. This was the first time I had used my new insurance, and they verified it had a deductible to be met, then it would be covered 20/80. I let the girl know that I was unable to make an appointment at that time, and she told me not to worry it is a COMMON PRACTICE for those who have insurance to be billed only the 20% but only that amount would go towards my deductible.

I agreed, but I thought that was odd, so I called back to verify, and spoke to Tangela, the office manager, and she confirmed, so my husband and I went to our appointment. We were seen by Dr. Steve Boynton, and were billed the 20% which WE PAID AT THE TIME OF THE VISIT. A few weeks later, I get a bill from Dr. Walter Hyde. I called Tangela and she stated that the remaining was denied coverage, due to deductible not met. So I called an explained to Tangela again what was told to me and that I had also spoken to her with confirmation. She claimed she never spoke to me but WOULD WORK THIS OUT. We conferenced my insurance company, because Grace Clinic was blaming them, and my insurance, United Healthcare was blaming Grace Clinic. So I assumed we could get this worked out.

As it turned out, Grace Clinic would have to quit billing my insurance company for more the amount promised and my insurance company would quit billing me. The insurance Company told us that to get this resolved, they would need to place toward deductible only the amount promised. I was told by Tangela, that THIS WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF, and remaining would be written off, nonetheless, I am still being billed.

I have received inner office collection calls and explain to them this situation, and am told they would check into this and call me back. NO PHONE CALLS HAVE BEEN RETURNED, but I am still getting bills. I will never return to Grace Clinic, and everyone I know will be aware of this situation as well. This was to never be billed to me or my insurance company as per Tangela on date of visit, now Tangela, REFUSES TO RETURN MY CALLS. And where did Dr. Hyde come into this anyway. We were never seen by him. I would think this is a QUESTIONABLE MEDICAL PRACTICE, for a DR. To bill a patient he has never seen. I may end up paying this, but I will never return. I will let anyone I know in need of medical care to go ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THERE.

To me grace clinic is anything other than the epitomy of grace.

It is filled with people who will not understand, who will tell you they are doing something, but then they never do. They lie to get your business, and to get you through the door, then they do not uphold their promises.
