"Contracts More Important than Customers"

Warning warning warning do not sign contract with att

A little less than a year into a two year contract with ATT for an "air card" that does not work I called to see if I could get out of the contract since this is the second air card I have had with them that does not work.initially I talked with a very understanding young woman in Utah named Celeste who understood my dilemma and said that "since you have been a loyal ATT customer since 2006 or before they should be able to help me out with my request." She connected me with the proper department and that is when Martin Young came on the line to inform me that there is "NO WAY to get out of the contract" - I specifically asked: Are you telling me that ATT values its contracts more than its loyal paying customers and his response was essentially "yes." Once you sign that contract ATT is going to live by it no matter what, I was then told. I have been a "loyal" customer of ATT's for a long time, land line at home, multiple cell phones and Internet Service. But as soon as those more valuable than me contracts expire you can be sure that I will be shopping around for a new cell phone carrier, Internet service provider and land line provider. Being loyal to a conglomerate that is willing to tell me that their paper is more important than their customers is just NOT where I intend to invest any more of my money or loyalty.

Maybe if more consumers would rise up and protest that hostage holding that takes place by these companies they would either be put out of business or amend their practices to acknoledge that they cannot eat their paper and need their customers.
