Removed espn classic from our programming and informed us we could get it back by subscribing to another very expensive sports package

I subscribed to dish network and purchased programming including espn classic. About 1 year later they removed espn classic from our programming and added some other channel which we did not want. I contacted dish network and spoke with Michael Cowan, Phone # 720-514-8555. He told me that Under the contract I had with them that they were allowed to do this. He then told me I could get espn classic back by subscribing to another very expensive sports package. I threatended to end my service with them and was informed I would be charged an additional seven hundred dollars for breaking my contract. Has It gotten so bad that they can actually get away with this? I hope not.
