Brighter Scents: Will not reimburse or send items missing from order, will not reply to emails or answer phone

I placed an order through Brighter Scents website (Candle Supplies). I received a partial shipment with a piece of paper enclosed stating my other item was on backorder. My american express was charged for the full order. I tried to contact them by phone multiple times without success. I sent them an email cancelling the other item since it was an item I needed right away. I had to order these elsewhere. I asked that they credit my American Express. No Response. I finallly reached an office clerk at (712) 336-4487 and she said she could not help me it would have to be Lisa or Terry. She said she would have them call me. I did not receive any calls.
A couple of days later I again reached this same office clerk and asked to speak to Lisa or Terry but they were both unavailable but she said they would return my phone call. Again, I did not receive a phone call. I sent additional emails but received no response. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and after two attempts by them to get this issue resolved, the case has been closed due to "No Response". I have made multiple attempts after my Better Business Bureau complaint was closed and have not been able to reach anyone by phone. My last email to them gave them one more chance to resolve this issue by either sending me the item or crediting my American Express before legal action was taken. As expected, no Reponse.
I want to be reimbursed for the items I never received. I will never do business with this company again and hope that other individuals read these reports so that they don't become victims.
