I ordered the full comcast package Phone Internet and Television. It took them 4 weeks to finally get an installer to come out. The installer comes out and says" We usually follow the power lines. I have underground power lines. He say's I have to put in a survey to install the drop underground and get a feeder extention. I say OK. He warns me that he has to call so they don't port over my phone # shutting my phone service off. I immediately call Comcast. They say the order has been canceled. They tell me to call Verizon to cancel the disconnect. I call Verizon and they say " Comcast has to issue the cancellation digitally to them.
I call back Comcast and they say. We will issue the cancellation to Verizon Monday (Monday is the Verizon disconnect). The thing that actualy KILLS me is that when I ordered it. I specifically asked the sales rep. #22312 to make sure they don't disconnect my Verizon account until the service is active with Comcast. He say's "Dont worry we never port a # until the cable service is active and running" So here we are. If I don't follow up on Monday it's because my service and phone is now off.
I guess this is really an SOS to Verizon. We need FIOS up here (HELP). The cable company is so backward everyone would change over for the simple fact that Comcast is absolutely incompetent.
