I too have been ripped off by UPS. UPS hides behind 3rd party shippers! You drop off a box to be shipped. The shipping store sends it by UPS. When the package arrives the contents are broken. You call UPS. UPS says it's the shipping stores responsibility to report the incident. The shipping store says to call UPS. You're not insured the shipping company is! The shipping store is the one UPS insured. Unless the guy in the shipping store is willing to deal with the stress and time it takes to battle over insurance coverage with UPS, you can kiss your damaged merchandise goodbye!

In fact UPS won't even speak to the consumer (the person who dropped the package off at the shipping store— you know the OWNER of the merchandise, the person that PAID the premium to begin with!). UPS' comment: We deal with the shipping store, we shouldn't even be speaking with you, your claim is with the shipping store, it's not with us! When I phoned the person at UPS' insurance company and asked her to explain why she denied the claim, she said, "I've already explained this to XXX at the shipping store, did he not relay the message? Did you not understand? I don't think I should have to explain it 3-4 different times!" I said to her, I will take this to small claims court she said, "You have no claim against us, your claim is with the shipping store." UNBELIEVABLE!!! No Resolve! It's a WIN WIN for UPS!

I'm not finished with you UPS! I will tell this story to anyone who will listen and one day, you won't have any customers left to tell.
