Two females left London looking forward to an inspection trip with DCC Properties.

The first day of the trip started the alarm bells ringing. The representative, Sean, did not have a single property to show us until he contacted local Estate Agents.

Four agents took us to view properties, non on which matched our brief. After five hours of viewings we found ourselves pleading with Sean for a comfort break which he very reluctantly agreed to. We then were given permission to have an hour for lunch.

More viewings followed later in the day, only this time we were being bullied and not least patronised into having to be financially verified by an independent financial advisor called Stuart from Valencia, before Sean would show us any further properties.

We declined this service, as what was the point, we had not seen anything remotely suitable and we were certainly not going to be pressured into handing over personal sensitive details. Sean was not impressed with this and from then on his whole persona changed, and not for the better.

We did however view a property that matched our requirements by about 50%. The price of this property we were told was Euro 250,000, which was Euro 70,000 more than the vendor was asking for!

Sunday morning we received a text message from Sean stating that he had not managed to find any properties for us to view that day and that we should just take the day off and enjoy ourselves.

Sunday evening Sean called. We were just returning from lunch with relatives and we advised him that we did not wish to view any further properties in particular location of the area as we had taken the opportunity to drive around the complex and had come to the conclusion that it was not where we wanted to purchase.

At 2130 hours on Sunday evening Sean called again, only this time he was hostile, rude and ignorant. He insisted that as we would not agree to see the financial advisor the "key agents he wanted to put us in front of would not get out of bed for us until we did".

He also stated that should we find a suitable property the deposit required would increase from 30% of the purchase price to a staggering Euro 100,000 whatever the price of the property. The usual reserve being Euro 3000.

On Monday morning he called again at 1030 hours telling us that DCC were pulling out of the contract (what contract) as we were proving difficult. He gloated when he told us that he would not be taking us back to the airport on the following day. Unfortunately for us he failed to tell us that he had cancelled payment of the hotel which he left to the hotel receptionist.

DCC Property are unprofessional, unethical, contradictory and if Sean is anything to go by, completely arrogant and patronising. Be warned, this is not a company you should be dealing with. Oh yes, they will play the game according to their rules, which by the way are subject to change on the hour every hour, but if you have a mind of your own, they will not.

Contrary to the information provided in writing by DSS a 30% deposit is not a requirement, nor is a pre-meet with a financial advisor. Estate agents do and will come out to show properties over a weekend. Nor do you need to "strap a gold card to your forehead in order to impress estate agents" as we were informed. Vendors are willing to take sensible offers on properties, something we were "told" you are not allowed to do.

We had a lucky escape, avoid having one yourselves, do not have anything to do with this Company.
