Avoid to take responsibility by changing time Fedex

Fedex was supposed to deliver my package by Mar 12 by 4:30 PM according to the website tracking.
Fedex tried to deliver it around 5:30 PM when I was not in the house.
And then Fedex changed the estimated delivery time from 4:30 to 7:00 on the website to avoid to take responsibility for late delivery.
They lied to me that they haven't change the estimated delivery time.
