Charged me $180 for doing nothing!

When I spoke to him over the phone, he indicated that they will not charge unless they fix the electric problem. He spent time looking at the problem and presented me a bill of $180 for investigation (no work)! His overall estimate was 180 694 = $874. My husband decided to not pursue this very high estimate. However, he wants us to pay $180 for showing up and diagnosing the problem (incidently, I already told him the problem). A month ago we got the problem FIXED for $300. I ended up paying Absolute electric $180 for doing nothing. Please do not engage them!
