Packet Destroyed at Far Warehouse, Customer Wants Money Back

When FedEx came to deliver my packet, I was not at home. They kept it in their warehouse, which is located very far from downtown. I was working and could not pick it up for the next 4 days. But I emailed and phoned them to say that I would pick up my packet as soon as I could. They did not tell me that the packet would be destroyed if it was not picked up within 5 days. They just said that I could pick it up at their warehouse.

When I arrived, the worker had not received any message about my packet and said that it had been destroyed that morning. I complained by email, but they just apologized and did nothing. I do not need your apology. I need my money back!
