Sam's Club
They don't want your business

Shops, Products, Services

Today, 7/16 about 3:30pm, I went to the Sam's Club in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I selected around $40 worth of stuff to purchase, included was a package of flour tortillas that were clearly marked "Two for $4.88 or $2.49 each". They first rang up at $2.66 and the register operator voided that price (without me saying anything) and entered a code that brought up the two for $4.88. He then proceeded to tell me I had to buy two packages or I couldn't buy any. So I elected to not buy anything and went to the service counter and asked for a manager; the assistant manager on duty fed me some line about having to sell them in pairs because of inventory, and that the "each" price was for the packages of wraps on another shelf. I've been a member since 1995 and never heard or seen such nonsense. If we had a Costco here I would probably change clubs, as it ended up, Target got my $40 today.
