Racial Prejudice ripoff

I am working in United States on a skilled worker Visa in a reputed company from almost 2 yrs now. I pay my taxes and don't have any bad record. I do have proper bank record and a credit card from my bank also. Although my credit history might not be excellent because it takes time to get urself established when you are new in the states. Also I take part time classes in a local college

I applied for a Citi Platinum Select Mastercard with citibank which is specially for people or students to build credit (people with low credit score).

After a week I get a letter from Citibank saying my application has been rejected not due to insufficient credit score but due to my status. I called their customer report and also sent a email but both the times I was told Citibank only gives card to those who are US citizens. I am from different country so they cannot issue me credit card.

It's my question to people out there. If somebody is working and living here in United states, paying his taxes, abiding with law and has no bad record, should he/she be discriminated like that?

Additionally Citibank says that is a student card so do they expect all students to be US Citizens. Can't there be international students studying in American Universities?

I just want everybody out there know that how Citibank (who has a very good repuation in US) treats its customers with racial prejudice and discrimination.
