Wear of material on a living room suite

I purchased a living room suit and it did not wear properly. The material got fuzzy and worn and ugly within a six month period. I contacted the owner and he did nothing to stand behind the product and was extremely rude. After I kept calling him, finally he came and took the suit and said that he was sending it back to the factory. When he called and said that the suit was back and they returned it, in the same condition as when it left. I told him that I would call the BBB and he told me to do what I had to do. My information that came with the living room suit states that the material is under warranty for a year. That year will not be up until February. The company who made the suit will not even speak with me and told me to go through the store where I purchased it. I am an older person and I feel that I was taken advantage of with all this.
