Carpet and Vinyl Install Delayed 24 Days, House Sits Empty

Real Estate

I ordered carpet and vinyl on August 20. I asked the salesperson roughly how long before it would be installed, and she said about 2-3 weeks. Well, the carpet came in a week later. The installers called 2 1/2 weeks after I ordered to tell me they would not put it in until the vinyl was installed first. The expected delivery date for the vinyl was September 6, yet today is the 13th.

So for the last 24 days I have been sitting in an empty house waiting for new floors, when I should have been moved to California to be with my new husband by this point. Come on! 24 days and no install? Is the vinyl being shipped from China by kayak? My house should be completed by now!
