We have been a Direct-TV customers since 1999. Was happy up until the last 3 years. Switched to DVR service. Told free installation and when tech arrives was told because the TV in bedroom was on an inside wall it would be additional cost of $100. Called Dircect TV and told them I had spoken w/5 reps before making decision to switch and never did anyone ask what wall in my house my service was on. Rep said no need to ask that questions. I said yes it is, I was told free installation. You have two places in your house you can have service, either on an outside wall of your house, which is the case in our living room, or an inside wall. No other choice. Should be standard question to customers for installation. I pay for DVR Service in our bedroom and cannot use it because I did not pay the $100 installation charge. Over the past 6 months my bill has gone up each month and when I call I get no explanation as to why, and I never received anything stating there were going to be changes to our account. My bill went from $70/mo to $110/mo. I am look at alternative services, but want options other than AT&T.
