Ntb
Poor service/fraud? On battery exchange

Miscellaneous

I took my battery in that failed after 30 months (75 month warranty). The NBT employee indicated the front desk computer "was not working" and had to go in the back to get the correct credit. Upon returning he said I owed $80 for an exchange on a $100 dollar battery (60% still under warranty). I asked to see the invoice but the NBT employee would not let me see it unless I paid first. He finally reluctantly gave it. I told him the credit should be for 45 months, not 30. I then asked to see the manager but was told manager was out that day. He refused to budge and then left me to attend to other customers. The manager magically came forward after I called NBT Corporate in the lobby. Manager used the front computer (the one that supposedly did not work) and calculated correct credit (a $40 swing) in seconds. Don't go here! A very unpleasant 45 minutes for a simple battery exchange.
