On the 4 august we had a lovely day at durham city, the only thing that spoilt this day was the awful short trip on your train home. We join the train at Durham station, at 17.24 pm and as we boared the train the smell of rotten eggs met us. We thought that someone had been unwell and moved down the train to find a seat. Half way down the train we met four very large bags of rubbish with know one there to move them and as I am disabled my husband had to move them on his own, for me to get passed, by this time we noticed the heat in the trian was very bad, people were felling sick and faint and a lot of the toilets were out of order. A woman with a small girl was standing at the train doors with us was, also unable to get a seat, told us that the air condition was not working so the staff had placed a large tray of water on the floor of a very full tain, for anyone that needed a drink. The 10 min trip felt like hours, and how thoses people had travelled a long trip was beyond us, they must have been so fed up, well done to these poor folk, I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THEM ALL, but rubbish to EAST COAST TRAINS!!!
