I have been a customer of DirecTV for years! On or about 4th or 5th of July I had them hook up HD service. I was told that I had to have it for "24" months, but "was not" advised that if cancelled before the 24 mo's. There would be a "$440.00" cancellation fee.!! I called DirecTV 7-30 and cancelled this and that is when I was informed of this fee! I spoke to Precious ID# 411481 and was told there was nothing they could do to "waive" this charge! This is not right and feel I should'nt have to pay as the service was not working right! I know they can waive the fee, I'm on a fixed income and can not pay this! Please help!
