Overcharged GBP 1618 Plus Fuel Surcharge on Kandahar Shipment

I arranged to ship two boxes from Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, to Kabul Airport in Afghanistan. I was told the boxes would have to go via Dubai. Why? The customer services agent would not give me a quote. His excuse was, "I don't know what discount you receive." The boxes went and we received them intact, and then came the invoice.
First I was charged GBP 1618 UK, then I was charged a fuel surcharge. They get their fuel free from the military under the Log cap contract. It is a rip-off. DHL is a lot cheaper. This was a try-out for the company. We have material to ship from the USA, Dubai and India, but it will not be travelling by Fedex.
