Ripoff NEEDS TO BE SEARCHED BY IRS Internet

On 4/27/04, I contracted with US Search for an "Expert Assisted Background Search" non-rush. The site said I would receive an initial report within 24 hours. The next day I received a very basic report with information I could have found myself. Name, address, last four addresses, date of marriage, spouse's name. The report stated a follow-up report would be sent within 24 hours. That's the last I'v heard.

I've called their customer service line four times. Two times, I received a recorded message stating, "Due to high call volume, you may be on hold more than four minutes". I certainly was! On one call, I was on hold for eleven minutes, on the other call I was on hold 25 minutes. I hung up both times. On the other two calls I was just directed to email customer service & the recording stated I would receive an email back within one business day. Ha! I've still heard nothing, but they had the nerve to charge my credit card on 4/27/04 BEFORE THEY HAD EVEN SENT THE USELESS REPORT.

I tried to complain via www.planetfeedback.com, but they don't know of the company.

The only resource left to me was to dispute the charge.
