Ipoff Puts "great God" In Sender Box Dangerous! Asks for bank acct info, try to take advantage of generous nature AND appeals to "free money" seekers

Miscellaneous

Watch out for this "free money" scam! The sender asks for an honest, generous, trusting stranger who is willing to 'help an innocent out of their rough spot.in return, they offer up to 45% of some enormous sum of money they've inherited - $32 million US, $48 million US, etc. They tell you part of the money will go to building homes for the underprivileged or abused, orphanages, feeding starving children, or other charities. Some requests are very detailed, others vague.

All they need is your bank account number! DO NOT EVER give out your personal info over the internet to a stranger! Sometimes they ask you to pay for an immigration fee or an excise tax, or the income tax on your share up front so they can get your money released.

This is a world-wide scam, and the specifics keep changing. I've received emails from people claiming to be a Nigerian prince, a young vulnerable person in South Africa, and several others. This person has used a number of names, addresses, and a variety of story lines to send numerous emails to me. They have enough detail to look legitimate on the surface, and write in broken English to sound authentic. But beware! They are a snake in the grass!

They talk about diversifying their assets as though they were Donald Trump, but can't seem to figure out a way to get to the US or get their money to the US without the help of an internet 'partner' who may or may not have any knowledge of handling money.
