Signed up for new phone service for a lake house. The purpose of the phone was to be connected to out of town family. Told the representative this informtation. Representative gave us a price of around $35.00/month this included taxes and fees and was supposed to include all usage including long distance. Since we were good customers this was a special pricing and the installation would be waved since there was an exisiting line. Also stated this price would not change for a year and we should call at the end of the year for any special offers. The first bill we received was for $35.28 the second bill was for $59.40. This bill had long distance phone numbers on it, whereas the first did not. We called to disbute the bill and were switched to 7 different people all stating that the bill was correct and refused to listen to the starting agreement given by their representative. We did not receive a written agreement since everything was done by phone. No other contact had been made to us by AT&T. We certainly felt that this was a switch and bate since our intitial offer was for $35.00. Now that we have the phone installed and are away from the lake house we seemed to be stuck with this situation.
