Internet seller purported to sell me a $28 baking element for my home electric oven, but he sent the element that was not designed for my oven. Unaware that it was the wrong element, I installed it, and when I turned on the electricity to the oven, it caused a short that blew out the oven control module. I had to hire an appliance repairman, and the cost to put in a new control module and element came to $340!
When I informed the seller, his reply was that he would not take back the element, but that he would generously give me a discount if I bought another element from him!!
