Loan and Payoff

I talked with a supervisor about our loan and the payoff on our 2004 Ford Taurus. When we bought this car in 2007 we paid $9000 and had a 60 month loan. As of Oct 8 I find out our payoff on this car is over $8800 and we are suppose to have a loan of 96 months. We never signed any paperwork on this with Santander and our payments are $202 per month. Without even figuring the interest which I have no idea at this time what the interest rate is.By the time we pay this car off we will have paided over $18000 on a $9000 car. Now is this FAIR? I think not.
