Loan sold without notice, wrong due dates, inflated payoff

I bought a car in 2007 from one company and then found out that my loan contract was sold to Santander Consumer without my being notified. I bought my car for about $18,000 after all the numbers added up. I am still paying on it to this day. They keep saying I am three months behind when I know I am not. My monthly statements show the payment due date as the wrong month, and the amount due is more than my payment.

I also called and talked to them about paying it off totally and wanting to know what the payoff is, and they said it is $12,900, but the balance of my account is a little over $11,000. I asked them how that makes any sense at all, since the payoff should be lower than the balance of the car, and they argued with me over the phone about it. I told them that if they come and get it, they will not get what I owe out of it, because the Blue Book value is only $6,000 as of today. Santander is ripping people off out of their money. Something needs to be done about it.
