Wrong payoff amount Internet

Hi
I bought a car in 2007 dec for 24K
I had some upside down car loan 5 k on prev car and i added that to this so, it became to 29K for 12% loan from Drive.
So i already made32 payments each of 730 a month. I have another 30 montsh to go.
I wanted to clear my debt off so i called them to find out the payoff amount, they tell me it is 24k, i'm like. How iit possible.
If i keep paying for another 30 months, then with interest & all uit will be 24000, But if im askin gthe payoff for tomorrow, how are they calculating it to be 24k? Who can help me with this... I was out of job for so long and all my hard earned money is wasted like this? Can you pls help me. Here.
