High charges

We had a dryer that needed repaired. When calling Sears, we decided it would be a good time to fix the refrigerator water dispenser and give some attention to the noisy washer. The refrigerator and washer was not something we would have made a point to get repaired if they weren't coming anyway. A lady called and said they had an opening for someone to fix the refrigerator. I told her no thank you, we'd wait so we wouldn't have the extra charge for a special trip. She said there would be none. So when the repairman came it was quite a shock when he held the glass to the dispenser and water came out! No repair needed but it cost $128.40. Two days later the dryer/washer repairman came. The washer needed greased in a couple of spots. That cost $123.01. The dryer, he claimed just needed the vents to be cleaned out. That cost $85.24. It wasn't the problem so he had to come back to see what was really wrong with it, (the dryer being the main reason they were even here.) I was told there would be no charge for the second trip on the dryer since there was 90 day warranty for him being here prior to the date he fixed it. That charge was $102.91. The estimate they gave me on replacing the auger to make the ice maker work was $245.91, which we declined and ordered the part, had it fixed for under $60. We have bought everything from major exercise equipment to appliances to underwear from Sears but am saying never again will I step foot in Sears or K-Mart.
