Hewlett-Packard (HP)
New Compaq purchase - HP Deskjet

Miscellaneous

A few months ago I purchased a new Compaq Presario Desktop computer with Windows 7. Although I'm please with the computer, I'm frustrated that I can no longer use my HP Deskjet 722c printer. Apparently there is no "driver" for this printer with my new computer. When I called HP, they tried to sell me an "Upgrade". Why should I be forced to "upgrade" and spend extra money for a "new" printer when my old one worked just fine with my former desktop. Is this just a way for HP to scam more money from it's consumers? I don't want to be forced to spend extra money on an upgrade! I want HP to fix the problem with the non existant driver and enable me to use my current printer. Will they? Probably not!
