Stop delivering pkgs

UPS rep always rings bell, leaves packages and never gives an opportunity for the door to be answered. I've arrived home on several occasions and boxes, books, etc have been left. This morning (2/10) I asked the UPS driver not to leave packages but he stated that he had been informed by his superiors to leave them because they were behind due to the Chicago blizzard. He left a huge box on my stairs that blocked me from opening the door and I had to bang on the window for him to stop walking and come back to move the box. Last year, I called and requested that no more deliveries should be left on the back porch because I'm basically at home due to my retirement. On the occasion that I'm not at home, I expect a notice to be left on the door and for the item to be redelivered the next day. The Rep further stated that if someone steals my packages there is nothing he can do and I just have to deal with the company that I ordered the merchandise from. Besides his lack of sensitivity, this process would be totally unnecessary if he delivered his packages correctly. I would appreciate you getting back to me. If your company will not do something about this behavior, I'm going to ask if the companies I do business with will send my packages by FEDEX. I'd rather pay for good service.
