First I want to start with letting people know that your credit card companies do not care about your service in this time and age of the economy. They will pass off your account to anyone who can collect it as long as it can get paid. That is why this report is in this category.

I want to warn you of a fraudulent collection agency with whom I have come into contact with recently. The company's name is Encore receivable management. This company is a subsidiary of a larger fraudulent collection agency called GE Money Bank with whom own several fraudulent agencies.

In this day and age, it is profitable for this fraudulent agency to make several hundreds of thousands of dollars making money off of you and me using common information found through small credit accounts of people. The credit accounts are usually in trouble, overdue and delinquent enough for the buyer to believe that the loan has gone into collection.

The collection agency never knew our account number accept the last four numbers the rest were x's. Upon calling these companies I always received foreign operators who spoke very little English.
The agency wanted to know the original number for the credit card account and when I asked why they did not have that information the operator stated that it was for confirmation. It was then that I hung up.

I recommend avoiding all of these corporations: Encore, GE Money Bank, and Resurgent
