American Credit Collections
Misrepresentation as the Collection Agency Settling my Debt

Business & Finance

On June 7, I've received a letter from American Credit Collections, LLC stating, in essence, that I need to pay them the original amount from my old First USA account plus an additional 110% interest or else I will be sued by them in court.

The thing is, I was already paying off the old debt through another collection agency at the time. I did my research in order to figure out which one was legitimate. I called both companies to gather information.in the end, I found American Credit Collections, LLC to be fraudulent. The information they gave me was not consistent with what the other collection agency and I knew.in addition, I went online to see what they were all about—just to find that other people have been scammed by the same agency!

A letter was posted on the website that had the exact wording of the correspondence I received from American Credit Collections, LLC. The only difference was the contact person and his extension number.

I warn other consumers to be aware of any mail addressed to you by American Credit Collections, LLC. Don't fall for their scheme! They will take your money and NOT contact the credit bureaus stating full payment of your account.
