Packages left by garage get buried in plowed snow

FedEx seems incapable of allowing someone to direct where packages are delivered to your home, as other carriers do. When FedEx delivers to my home, it is in front of the garage, and during the winter, as you might expect, the packages get buried in plowed snow until spring.
Company XYZ has provisions for this. Maybe I should direct my deliveries through them?
