I called at&t in May to change my current phone plan because i was having finacial hardship. I told the customer service rep that i wanted to switch 2 a lower plan. She then gave me the basic plan.in aboout 2wks i called back 2 tell her that this wasn't working 4 me and that i needed somethig more but still a lower bill. She then switched me 2 another plan that now has my bill on a monthly basis higher than what i was paying previously. I called back again and there telling me that I was exlainded 2 exactly what i was getting and they did make some adjustments prior by giving me a credit of $49.00. Which even after the adj the bill was still $104.00.. I'm calling back againg to ask why is the bill even higher than the original plan. The rep tells me that they explained 2 me what i was getting and that this is basically what i agreed to and because my accoutn was in collections that this is what they do. I was never explained that everytime i use my phone that i'm being charged local toll calls / why would i agree 2 such a thing when all of my family lives in another local area. Why would i agree 2 paying a higher bill as oppossed to the the preivous plan that was only running me around $75.00 a month. I would never agree to such a thing when i know that i use the phone daily to call my family. I feel that they should adjsut the bill so that i can pay it. Why would anyone agree to paying a higher bill than what they had previously. I've been on hold 4 an entire 15mins now this is ludicriss. All i want them to do is make the proper adj. So i can pay the bil and get the accunt in good standing but how can i do that when the bill is steady going up because i had no knowledge of the plan. Nothing came in the mail or my email stating that i was paying per use... No one in their right mind would have agreed to such a thing. I need 2 have the bill adj. And 4 at&t to admit that the customer service that i had was not adequit and that i believe that they r lining their pockets with my money. The same thing happened when i purchased a cell phone the customer service rep told several lies just to make a sell I ended up returning the phone & swtiching to sprint. I've already switchd to vonage telephone service. I also cant understand why i'm still on hold when they said it would only b 2 mins...
