Direct TV is awful, stay away! Extremely dishonest agents. The sweet lies just to get you signed up in a 2-year contract and then all the agreements is really not true.

I signed up last May and the agent said that I'm getting "entertainment package" 1 international for $69.98/month (total, meaning this $69.98 includes tax & fee)

Came my first bill for $97... So I called and said what happened why I did not get the $69.98. The agent said he did not know why would any agent would say I get $69.98 a month with the package I have. I make the argument that the $69.98/month was the agreed bill with the package that was offered.

Well, my complaint was not heard, not fixed. And so after a few more tries of calling Direct TV hoping that I'll be able to talk to a decent & honest agent, I wasn't successful. You won't find one honest Direct TV customer service representative, ever. I have not.

A couple of months later out of frustration, I called again demanding that they would adhere to the agreement. The agent this time said that if I really wanted to reduce my monthly bill $69/month, I would have to change my plan to family package - which the very basic. I agreed just to lower my bill. Came my bill with my new basic package and voila! My bill $89 with basic channel. I called and complained and every single agent I talked to told me it's misunderstanding - and that there's nothing they can do.

Now, I have the basic family package and paying the same amount as I would have been paying the higher package, so frustrating. Last time I called customer service and even the supervisor, I said that if my bill is going to be the same as the original entertainment package then put me back and be done with it. The agent and the supervisor said that if they put me back to the original package, my bill will become higher because they will charge me the regular price, meaning I will end up paying over $120/month.

Their dishonesty and I'm paying for it.

I'll get rid of Direct TV, horrible customer service.
