Idiots and Liars

My husband had been laid off after breaking his hand and Star needed drivers so he applied. (Now laced with regret) He was contacted by a recruiter on Wednesday and on a plane that Sunday for Nashville.
The recuiter told him he woould get 35 per day for orientation for meals. This was lie #1, the reality is they give you a flat 35 bucks and thats it. They tell you dont go over hours of service but then you are given a load that has 12 hours of drive time and no stopping allowed, again with lie #2. Makes ya kinda stop and go Hmmmmm... But like most guys you dont wanna give up just yet so you lie on your books and get it done. That opens the door for all future needs of the company and more exceeded hours because "Well ya did it once sooo"... They tell you that the trucks are equipt with satellite and they know all that is going on This is lie #3. Two weeks after starting there my husband was to recover 2 trucks he grabbed 1 and headed to Nashville whereupon he had to wait for over 24 hours and find his own ride back to his truck in Atlanta. Funny thing was when he got there the other truck had been stolen! Again with the Hmmmmmmm...
They tell you that you are home most weekends well I suppose thats true if you live in your truck! So we can chalk that up to lie #4! My husband has not made it home for a weekend yet and its been over a month. Guess where he spends his weekends??? In whatever truck stop has space because these morons dont work or look for work for their drivers on weekends.
My husband recently spent from Friday at noon til Monday at 2pm in Atlanta because he has such an informed dispatcher and now that same idiot dispatcher we'll call him John B (cause thats his name) has had my husband stranded in Maryland since Friday at 4pm til his pick-up Monday at 4 pm. The morons dont communicate with each other then leave the driver hanging. They complain because a driver calls them after being ignored on QualComm for over 24 hours. The weekend dispatchers are even worse and even though it ould be thought impossible the night guys are worse still!
My husband has had no violations in last 3 years and has his X endorsement and no criminal history of any kind, unless these folks keep leaving him on the roadside! When the wheels ain't turnin' you ain't makin' money!!!
Look elsewhere for a job guys, your wives and girlfriends will love you for working somewhere that will let you make it home once in awhile... I know I miss my man!
