Notebook Died, Known Recall Defect, Asked to Pay $259 to Fix

My notebook was purchased May and unbeknownst to me already defective from the manufacturer. 4 days ago today the notebook does not turn on at all I have tried everything. I went to HP's website apparently there is a recall for a whole bunch of different notebook models made by them. Not only was I not notified that the product that HP sold to me was defective but they want to charge me $259.00 to fix their mistake!

So after speaking to 3 different people somewhere in India one of which was a so called supervisor who sounded like a robot, I got nothing resolved I am stuck with a notebook that does not turn on whether I like it or not. Warning: do not buy an HP notebook or desktop!!! I paid $1,700.00 for this notebook and quite frankly I now realize it is an overpriced piece of junk. Switching to Macs!!! HP's customer service is horrible save your self an aneurysm and a really bad investment!
