Verizon
Charges taxes on the retail cost of phone and not waht you pay fo

Miscellaneous

I recently bought a LG Voyager, they state it cost like $250 but they had a sale that cost like $199 but with a $50.00 rebate. Well, when we comleted the transaction, I noticed that they charged me a very high tax on the phone, it was about $33 tax charge. I asked why, their explanation was that accoring to the state of California, they have to charge the tax amount on the retail price of the phone which was $400.00! That is a rip off! I need to know if this is legal! I did not pay $400.00 for the phone...
