New Phone Battery Does Not Hold Charge

Bought a new phone from Verizon Wireless recently in NYC and I am less then happy with the battery.
I keep having to charge it and it does not seem to be holding the charge.
Has anyone else had this problem with phones bought at Verizon Wireless.
