Cancellation within the first 3 business days not honored

I set up this security service in a different state from my residence. I paid up from and was told over the phone that it would be an issue for me set up a system from a different state.

I arrived on Oct. 30th to meet the rep. He told me that since my home was new construction and it had no electricity or doors, that he would set up the system and take it with him until I get the doors and electricity installed.

I felt uncomfortable paying monthly for a service I couldnt use. I faxed back to the company my cancellation contract. I noticed that my credit card was never credited. I called ADT. Spoke to many people and transferred many times and was assured over the phone that I will be credited for the amount. I still did not get a confirmation number. I just got more names of people who said they would help me.

Therefore, I put a "dispute a charge" on it. And hoped that CITIBANK would go to bat for me.

My Citibank card company said that the ADT services claimed that I never faxed the cancellation request.
ADT services changed the original contract names and people, yet Citibank said that there wasn't enough evidence to prove my case.

Now I found that my Amex has been billed by the same company since October. I just alerted AMEX last night (jan. 25th).

I sent all of my original documents to CITIBANK and now I wait. Any suggestions on how to prove that I sent the cancellation fax? I sent the original fax from work and not home, so I can't locate the precise moment the phone was used.

Any suggestions?
