Rude to the umpteenth degree

We were greeted with..."do you have a reservation?" The restaurant was EMPTY!!! We replied hesistanty, "no... Do we need one?" The waitress tells us to sit anywhere so we do. She gets our water while we look over the menus. We decide on Shrimp with Grits but I am allergic to grits so ask if I can substitute... What do you think ALL CAJUN RESTAURANTS HAVE PLENTY OF? Rice. The waitress comes back after asking the cook and we are told "she can't cook that... It takes too long." Shrimp take 10 minutes and grits even less, rice is a standard fare for a Cajun restaurant and is probably steaming hot while we were speaking. My sister asked "well... What does she have time for?" Waitress "anything but that, that takes too long." We decided it would be best to leave since obviously for some reason we were not wanted in that restaurant.

We wrote about the experience to the restaurant and received no response. Apparently they do not care. I wouldn't go to or recommend that restaurant if it was the last one in the world. I can cook my own Cajun food and don't have to put up with snobs in some little po-dunk town that think they don't stink!
