Ripoff I got KICKED OUT because they got my order wrong!

This restaurant had been open about 3 months and I went there for dinner one night (It's an Italian restaurant and they also have Philly cheesesteak sandwiches). The food was really good but the service was pretty shabby.

I told my husband about the place and we decided to go for lunch. This place has 2 different types of philly sandwiches... One is the regular meat and cheese w / lettuce and tomato slices. The other is meat and cheese and marina sauce on top covered with chopped onions. My husband ordered one with "meat and cheese only, add mustard." I did the same thing, but wanted chicken instead of beef (this was available on the menu too).

A few minutes later, someone comes over with 2 sandwiches, covered with spaghetti sauce and onions. I said (nicely), "Oh those aren't ours, " (thinking they probably just brought the wrong order to our table) The girl (not the waitress) went back to the kitchen. Then the cook came out with the same sandwiches and said, "Ya got a problem with these sandwiches?" We said, "yeah, that's not what we ordered, " (by now a little bewildered that we were being challenged!)

The cook told us that those sandwiches were what the waitress wrote down. We told her we didn't want the tomato sauce and she said we should've read the menu, b/c the sandwiches came with it! I laughed and said, "Can I see a menu?" I then pointed out the sandwich we'd ordered (meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato slices). She again said the waitress had written the sauce sandwiches down. I said, "Then you need to talk to your waitress, not come over here and confront me!"

I was getting pretty angry at this point. THEN, the OWNER came over and told us we needed to leave!
I said, "Gladly" and left.

When we got to the car, we sat, mouths agape, and said, "Did we really just get kicked out b/c THEY got our orders wrong!??"

We then went to another local restaurant that we have frequented for years and told them about it. They had heard another story similar to ours (when someone complained about their food, they were kicked out). Apparently it's a family originally from Philadelphia who owns it. The guy who kicked us out was the dad, the cook was the mom and the waitress was the daughter! I love to frequent individual's (not chain) restaurants but I will never go back to somewhere that doesn't treat their customers with respect. I hope Rocky's Pub falls into the 90% of new restaurants that fail. It's just unfathomable to me that any restaurant (much less a NEW ONE!) would treat their patrons like that.
