Assured No Roaming Charges Out of State, Then Billed $573

Before leaving on an extended trip to the Northwest, I checked with the T-Mobile store in Asheville to be sure that I would not incur roaming charges for calls made while out of state. I was assured that my plan covered calls from Washington State that I would be making.

Upon my return, I received a bill for $573, mostly roaming charges. After paying off more than half of this bill ($310) I have now been informed that I owe almost $500.

Calls to customer service have been handled with extreme rudeness by the service techs. The basic message was "Tough. You have no recourse and we can do as we please."
