Promised 12-Month Contract Not Honored, Still Billed 24 Months

I spoke to a Direct TV representative in September about charges for a DVDR that was not in use in my home. The operator told me that the installer who came to my home was not supposed to install equipment that was not connected to a television set.

I was told that I would be taken off the 24-month contract I had been put under and given a 12-month contract for the confusion. I returned the equipment that was not in use and still have the packing slips. I was also given a 10 credit a month for the 12 months that I was given. (I have records)

I am currently being charged for 24 months, and the supervisor told me there was nothing that could be done, even though the operator had made these arrangements. I believe that Direct TV are rip-off artists, and I hope that anyone interested in their services thinks twice.
